Today was the most positive experience I've had for a long time. The CNA I was paired with, along with the nurse were very welcoming and caring. It brought me back to why I love what I do, albeit without the corporate drama and just caring about the bottom line. I really feel like family.

Volunteer Information
Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team, filling roles that range from direct contact with patients to providing clerical and fundraising support for the organization. Hospices that participate with Medicare are required to use volunteers alongside their paid clinical and administrative staff. Volunteers work is gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful.
All volunteers must follow these requirements:
- Provide information regarding your physical health, limitations, etc.
- Take a mandatory tuberculosis test.
- Hospice volunteers are required to wait a minimum of one year after the passing of an immediate family member or loved one prior to volunteering in hospice.
